MEDICAL CANNABIS THERAPIES (PRIVATE BILLING)

Medicinal Cannabis use is currently legal in Australia as a prescription medication and as an alternative treatment option to relieve the symptoms of many medical conditions where other treatment options have not fully succeeded or failed. It is prescribed by authorised medical practitioners after an approval process has been completed through TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration). We offer this service to patients in our Private Medicinal Cannabis Clinic for those who are interested in Medicinal Cannabis after a comprehensive assessment to determine suitability and eligibility.

Accessing prescribed medical cannabis in Queensland requires patients to meet some qualifying criteria, therefore the clinic DOES NOT accept walk-in appointments. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a change in consultation structure by replacing face-to-face consultations with online, telehealth consultations to ensure that they get the same quality of care they need from the safety and convenience of their homes.

HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT

New Patients will be required to obtain a referral from their regular GP of 6 months with a health summary attached before booking an appointment. All patients are required to complete and return a consent form before their initial assessment.

Please be aware that medical cannabis is only considered after exhausting other conventional treatment options.
