Availability of Doctors by Telephone
Doctors in this practice may be contacted by telephone during normal surgery hours. When doctors are with other patients, messages will be taken and you will be advised by the reception staff when it is likely that your call will be returned. Your call will be put through to a doctor or nurse in the event of an emergency.
Outside of our opening hours, medical care is available on a 24-hour basis covered by the Australian After Hours Doctors. If you require medical attention outside our opening hours, please telephone 1300 466 337 (1300 Home DR) and you will be advised of current arrangements. If on occasion you are seen by a Doctor from Home Doctor Service, a full written report will be faxed to us for inclusion in your records, the next day. We team with Home Doctor Services to ensure our patients have quality medical care available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of staff. Please refer to the Patient Privacy Brochure in our reception area for further information on your privacy.
Our practice is committed to preventive care. Your doctor may seek your permission to be included on our reminder system and we may then mail you a letter from time to time offering preventive health services appropriate to your care.
Getting your results
Please discuss with your Doctor when to expect the results of any tests or procedures and how you can get them. Always contact us to get your results as we may not always be able to reach you, especially if you have moved and your contact information has not been updated.
If your doctor needs to follow up with you to further discuss results, our nurses will attempt to call you by phone to schedule an appointment.
Doctors On Manly Road is a fully bulk-billing practice. Please ensure that you bring your current Medicare, Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs card and Concession Card (if any) with you on each visit.
